Class Description

Join us for an evening of deep relaxation and restoration with Jenn Gietzen. Jenn is a certified sound and music therapist who will guide you through some gentle breathwork, mindfulness techniques, and an inner journey with resonant sound. This session will help calm your nervous system and will bring you into the parasympathetic state (the rest and digest state) so your body and mind can feel at ease and enter a natural state of well being. It will invite you into the awareness of the present moment and help quiet the mind and de-stress, allowing you to let go of the business of life for a bit, taking care of your inner world. Sound therapy can also support you in releasing some stuck emotions while connecting with the quiet voice within. Jenn will play various instruments such as drums, gongs, crystal bowls, Himalayan singing bowls, chimes, the crystal pyramid to support your deeply relaxed state, leaving you feeling refreshed, restored and aligned. What to bring: Yoga mat or padded mat to feel comfy as you lay on the floor for 45-50 minutes, a blanket or 2, a pillow for your head, an eye pillow if you have one (Jenn will have some to borrow if you need), weighted blanket if desired, water. Really, anything that makes you feel comfortable laying down for most of the session. Wear comfy clothes. Precautions:**Please understand that Sound Baths are not advised for those in their first trimester of pregnancy, have a pacemaker or similar medical device or those who are prone to seizures. If there are any medical concerns or contraindications for you with this alternative therapy, please consult your physician.
